B.C. junior boys championship draw: Burnaby South Rebels carry No. 1 seed as tourney celebrates 50th birthday!

LANGLEY — Undefeated powerhouse and No. 1-ranked Burnaby South Rebels will take the No. 1 seed into the 50th annual B.C. junior varsity basketball championships set to open a four-day run Saturday at the Langley Events Centre.

No. 2 Vancouver College, No. 3 Yale of Abbotsford and No. 4 St. Patrick’s of Vancouver comprise, on the paper, the top seeds and the pre-tourney favourites to reach Monday’s semifinal round.

The championship game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip on Tuesday, Jan. 26.
