VANCOUVER — Yes, it was hard to leave The Province after 26 years this past January.
It was easy, however, to say ‘Yes’ when asked by my old employer to continue steering and guiding what I feel has become the benchmark in terms of high school sports journalism in our country.
Head of the Class turns 18 today! For the first time ever, student-athletes born in the year 2000 are being honoured.
My thanks to the entire team, a group too large to mention, for all of their time and dedication over the past three months. But especially to Richard Lam, Nik Bennett, Jason Payne and Bob Frid for their tireless efforts in bringing such spirit to each and every one of our honourees.
Please, pick up your copy of The Province today! It’s a keepsake with staying power, one whose words and images can inspire the next generation of HOC honourees.
