BC Girls Basketball Rankings 01.31.22 edition: We’ve got all four tiers plus JV as Fleetwood Park jumps back into 4A Top 10 at No. 7, Burnaby Central debuts as the new No. 1 at 3A!

LANGLEY — For the first time since issuing its preseason rankings back in the late fall, B.C. Senior Girls Basketball has released new provincial Top 10s for all four of its tiers simultaneously.

The first in-season set of B.C. junior girls rankings are also included today.

PoCo’s Riverside Rapids have managed to retain their hold on No. 1 at Quad-A, while Kelowna’s Okanagan Mission Huskies continued to hold on to No. 2 after rallying Saturday to earn a split in its two-game weekend road series against No. 3 Terry Fox.

The big climbers at B.C.’s largest tier?

Surrey’s Fleetwood Park Dragons  jumped from honourable mention status back into the Top 10 at No. 7 coming off a 65-59 over former No. 7 South Delta last week.

At Triple-A, the Burnaby Central Wildcats are the new No. 1, moving up from No. 6 on the strength of a 66-62 win this past Thursday’s against Abbotsford’s visiting, No. 2-ranked MEI Eagles.

At Double-A, Surrey’s Southridge Storm did the most climbing, gaining three spots to No. 6, while Burnaby’s St. Thomas More Knights moved into the rankings at No. 10.

At Single-A, the Eastern Valley grip on the top two spots held as the Unity Christian Flames of Chilliwack and the Credo Christian Kodiaks of Langley remained Nos. 1-2.
