LANGLEY — A galaxy of the some of the best graduating talent in the B.C. senior boys basketball Class of 2024 will gather at Burnaby’s St. Thomas More over the weekend.
The occasion?
None other than All-Star Saturday.
Mark down Saturday, April 20 at STMC’s spacious gymnasium, located at 7450 12th Ave., Burnaby.
The Single-A vs. Double-A game gets the day underway at 1 p.m. while the Triple-A vs. Quad-A all-star game wraps up the day with a 3:30 p.m. opening tip.
“This is one last opportunity to represent your school and yourself on the high school stage,” BCHSBBA president Aaron Mitchell said earlier this week to this season’s invited players.
“Were are extremely proud to be hosting this showcase with some of the stars from both the B.C. championships and from across the province.”
Three-point contest opening round begins at noon, while the finals begin at 2:30 p.m. The dunk contest opening round begins at 12:30 p.m., while the finals start at 3 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
Fittingly, each tier will be coached by the same head coach who led his team to the provincial title this past March 9.
