LANGLEY — Greetings B.C. high school senior girls basketball head coaches!
We are short one team for our 10th annual Tsumura Basketball Invitational tournament set to run Dec. 15-18 at the home of the B.C. championships: The Langley Events Centre.
I have been empowered by the tournament committee of the TBI to accept the names of any senior varsity girls teams interested in taking part.
We will consider all of the teams and announce the successful team within the next week. If interested, e-mail howardtsumura@gmail.com by noon on Friday.
Coaches, please know that in this re-start season, the TBI is featuring largely the same group of teams we had initially invited to our cancelled 2020 tournament.
Yes, as you may have seen with the release of yesterday’s draw, there are many top-ranked teams taking part.
There are, however. A number of others which find themselves at different stages of their development.
As I have told many teams concerned about how they will fit in this tournament, your team will find a place within the draw very quickly and get a series of games that will help you get ready for all the rigours of your upcoming league season.
I can’t stress it any more that we are celebrating the fact that teams are back on the court.
That is No. 1.
