ALL-STAR ROSTERS: Your first look at all the selections for Saturday’s inaugural B.C. High School Football All-Star game at B.C. Place

VANCOUVER — All-Star Weekend has finally reached the world of B.C. High School Football.

As part of Saturday’s Subway Bowl championship final menu at B.C. Place Stadium, an all-star game will be staged at 2 p.m.

The contest will feature talent selected from teams not playing in either the AA or AAA senior varsity finals, meaning there will be no players from Langley, Vernon, Vancouver College and Lord Tweedsmuir taking part.

That still leave an entire galaxy of talent from which to choose.

First, we’ll look at the Eastern all-stars offence and defence, followed by the Western all-stars offence and defence.

Teams will practice over the next couple of days, and the coaching staffs will feature a combined 13 U Sports coaches from eight different schools.

Western’s Kevin MacNeill is the head coach of the East while UBC Thunderbirds’ Blake Nill is the head coach of the West.

As well, many university coaches will scout the game come Saturday.
