LANGLEY — The coaches of B.C.’s four U Sports men’s volleyball programs have answered our call and cast their votes to determine B.C.’s top Grade 12 senior varsity boys volleyball player.

LANGLEY — Over our first eight years of joining forces with the head coaches at UBC, Simon Fraser, Trinity Western, UBC Okanagan and Thompson Rivers universities to select our annual B.C. high school girls volleyball Player of the Year, a universal truth has revealed itself.

VANCOUVER — Taken as a whole, from its efforts in the fall on the trails, to its spring-time results on the track, it’s a pretty safe bet to say that there has never been a more prolific period in the concurrent history of the UBC Thunderbirds cross-country, and track and field programs.

It was a game whose conclusion would have defied the logic of a thousand seasoned bettors. It came on a field goal attempt the football gods, 999 times out of that 1,000, would have pushed wide or pulled up short based solely on its audacity.
