LANGLEY — With pool play complete for the 2026 Surrey RCMP Tournament, the Tamanawis Wildcats were are all set to begin official Round 1 action today against the Southridge Storm as B.C.’s No. 1-ranked Quad-A team.
Yet beneath them, the province’s largest tier was turned head over heels based on the results of this past week in games played Jan. 7 through 13.
We’ve also got the latest B.C. junior boys Top 10 rankings below!
The biggest news?
How about Surrey’s Holy Cross Crusaders sitting at No. 2 after heading into the annual Terry Fox Legal Beagle at No. 5?
The Crusaders beat the then-No. 7 Oak Bay Bays of Victoria 65-48 in Saturday’s final, the win carrying some extra velocity after the Bays beat the former No. 4 Kelowna Owls 74-71 earlier in the same event.
The end result?
While the Crusaders moved to No. 2 in the latest rankings, the Bays also climbed… all the way up to No. 4.
As well, Coquitlam’s Centennial Centaurs and Vancouver’s Kitsilano Blue Demons also moved into the 4A Top 10.
Kits climbed from honourable mention to No. 5 after an 88-82 overtime win Saturday in Nanaimo over the host Dover Bay Dolphins who fell from No. 3 to No. 6 with the setback.
Centennial climbed from honourable mention to No. 9.
The Centaurs beat former No. 10 GW Graham 69-65 on the second day of the the Beagle, then followed that highlight win with a standalone 82-79 win Tuesday at home over soon-to-be No. 5 Kitsilano.
Triple-A No. 1 St. Patrick’s continued to hold on to its lofty perch, beating host STM 115-61 in Saturday’s Rich Goulet Chancellor Memorial final.
Double-A has a new No. 1.
West Vancouver’s Collingwood Cavs moved into the top spot after the former No. 1 King George Dragons lost 77-71 to then-No. 8 Pacific Academy Breakers of Surrey in a Saturday clash at UBC’s War Memorial Gymnasium. With the loss, the Dragons dropped to No. 6 while the Breakers climbed three spots to No. 5.
